MMA fighter arrested in LA for drunk driving

Mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz was arrested for DUI suspicion after a one-vehicle car crash in Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the accident occurred on 405 Freeway near Santa Monica boulevard when Ortiz’s car lost control and slammed into a cement median.

Three people, including Ortiz, were inside the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. Tito was booked to the 77th Division of the LAPD.

Iowa man killed in car accident

A Des Moines car accident claimed the life of 29-year-old Iowa native, Jeff Crispin.

The accident occurred late Monday, October 21. Crispin’s Honda Civic was hit on the driver’s side by a Dodge Ram pickup driven by Jerry Harbour Jr. Crispin was reportedly passing through the intersection of 86th Street when Harbour’s truck T-boned his car. The crash, which killed Crispin instantly, didn’t harm Harbour.

Harbour attempted to flee but authorities arrested him and booked him in Polk County Jail. In addition to vehicular homicide, Harbour faces a DUI charge, and penalties for attempting to leave the scene of an accident.
