The accident occurred on the corner of Meadow Chase Lane and Bloomfield. The driver of the vehicle was initially driving south when he decided to turn left at the corner. He was unaware of the motorcyclist’s presence due to the lack of headlights, and struck the motorcycle with intense force.

According to Mason City Police, the accident occurred on Tuesday when an 81-year-old driver was attempting to turn left into St. James Lutheran Church for a funeral and he struck a 17-year-old who was traveling westbound on his motorcycle.
After the teen was struck by the first car, he was hit by a car driven by another funeral attendee. Neither drivers of the cars were injured, but the motorcyclist was taken to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa to be treated.

A 46-year-old motorcyclist from Pleasant Hill, Iowa was killed in a motorcycle accident last week.
The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 85 about 50 miles north of Lusk when he attempted to pass a pickup truck pulling a 28-foot camper trailer on the left. The driver of the truck began turning left onto Cheyenne River Road at the same time.
According to reports, the motorcycle collided with the vehicle near the front axles of the camper. The driver was thrown off of the motorcycle and was caught underneath the trailer until the driver of the truck came to a stop just off the highway.
The passengers of the truck were not injured. However, the motorcyclist died about an hour and a half after the time of the accident.

Four people were killed in a tragic motorcycle accident on I-29 after a man hit them with his pickup truck.
The four men, three from Iowa and one from Nebraska, were struck head on by a 21-year-old man that crossed the center line while traveling on Interstate 29.
