One bicyclist dead, one injured in northern Iowa crash
One bicyclist was killed and another injured when a vehicle struck them from behind in northern Iowa, a WOWT NBC Omaha article reported on June 20.
Reports coming from the Iowa State Patrol said Onawa resident Shawn Gosch, 47, was riding his bicycle near the Manson area when a vehicle hit him from behind. Another bicyclist identified as Jeffrey Gray, 49, was also struck and thrown from his bicycle into a ditch. Gosch was declared dead after being taken to a hospital, while Gray was treated for his injuries and will recover. The driver of the vehicle was identified as thirty-year-old Lake View resident Eric Meyer. Whether or not Meyer was hurt in the incident was unclear at the time of the report.
