Hit-and-run suspect that injured three people arrested

A Des Moines man responsible for injuring three people recently, including a pregnant mother, was arrested. Charges of operating while intoxicated, fleeing an accident scene, marijuana possession, and driving the wrong way were filed against 23-year-old Taurean Martin Forbush.

According to police, they saw a truck driven by Forbush heading the wrong way on Southwest Third Avenue at around 2 a.m. on January 16 just before he struck an oncoming vehicle with three occupants. Forbush, who fled the accident scen,e was brought to Polk County Jail after he was apprehended by police near Fleur Drive and Watrous Avenue.
