Two sent to hospital after Inwood accident

Two people were sent to the hospital after a car accident in Inwood, Iowa. Authorities have said that slick roads may be the cause in the one-vehicle accident.

According to the Sheriff’s office, the accident occurred as the 58-year-old man traveled down the roadway and slid while crossing a bridge. This caused him to break through a guardrail on the bridge and land in a creek.

The man was stuck inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency crews, but his wife was able to crawl out. They were both transported to the hospital as a result of the accident.
