Authorities have identified a man that was killed in pedestrian accident on Interstate 380 over the weekend.

The man was 44 years old and was from Cedar Rapids. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. on August 14 when the man was crossing the interstate for unknown reasons.

He was struck by more than one vehicle, but all of them stopped to help police officials with the investigation. No citations were given after the accident, but police are continuing to investigate.

Pedestrian accidents can cause serious injury to all involved and can change many lives as a result, our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of the victim.
