Ryan C. Nixon is part of LaMarca & Landry’s Business Litigation Group, and engages in general practice including but not limited to business law, construction law, commercial law, contracts, litigation and taxation. He also holds an active certified public accountant (CPA) license in the State of Iowa.
Mr. Nixon graduated with High Distinction from The University of Iowa in 2005 with a BBA in Accounting. He then worked for two years as an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency under the Department of Defense. He then went back to school to pursue a joint degree through the Drake Law School and the Drake University College of Business and Public Administration. While attending law school, he gained valuable mentoring and practical experience as a two year member of LaMarca & Landry’s law student clerkship program. In 2010, he received his J.D. with High Honors from Drake Law School and his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) through the Drake College of Business. On September 20, 2010, Mr. Nixon was sworn in to practice law in the State of Iowa.
In his practice, Mr. Nixon draws on a wealth of past experience, which includes (i) performing contract audits of defense contractors, (ii) performing accounting and financial advisory services for the Federal Government with respect to defense contracts, and (iii) furthering daily operations of a financial planning office.
